A gentle screen time app that doesn't make you feel guilty
Sunscroll is a gentle screen time app for iPhone, built for people who want to scroll less without feeling bad about it. There are no red alarms and no shaming when you go over. Your daily time is shown as weather, a friendly sun is always on your side, and when you really need an app, a short pause opens it.
Coming soon to the App Store
Launch offer: new yearly subscribers get a whole month free instead of 7 days.
Limits without shame, streaks or punishment
- Kind words. The sun teases itself and your apps, never you.
- One simple thing to watch. The apps you choose share one daily time, shown as a sky, not a spreadsheet of numbers.
- Nothing to make up for. The sky starts fresh every morning at 6:00 am.
- A flame for the days you keep, and no scolding on the days you don't.
A pause, not a wall
When your time is used up, the apps you chose rest until morning. If you need one anyway, take a short pause with the sun first: three slow breaths, a quick sum, or one of six tiny games. Then choose 5, 10 or 30 minutes. You can pause as often as you ask; the point is a moment to notice, not a punishment.
Flexible limits you can change without guilt
Change your daily time in Limits whenever you like. A smaller sky starts at once; a bigger one waits for the next morning, so a tired evening can't quietly undo the plan you made rested.
Private, and no account
Your Screen Time data stays on your iPhone. There is nothing to sign up for, no ads and no tracking, and Sunscroll cannot even see which apps you picked: iOS hands it anonymous tokens.
Price
Free to download, with a subscription: yearly or monthly. In the United States that is $39.99 a year or $7.99 a month; prices are lower in many countries. During the launch, new yearly subscribers get a free month instead of the usual 7-day trial. Cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings.
Questions

It is firm but kind. When the daily time is used up, the chosen apps rest until 6:00 am, and a short pause with the sun opens them for 5, 10 or 30 minutes.
Does Sunscroll use streaks?
There is a flame for the days you keep your sky, and no scolding on the days you don't. The sky simply starts fresh the next morning.
