A cute app blocker with a sun on your side
SunPause is a cute app blocker for iPhone with a friendly sun as its mascot. The apps you choose share one daily limit, shown as a pastel sky: clouds drift in as you use them, the sun peeks out from behind them, and at night the moon keeps watch. It is the soft, cozy way to scroll less.
Launch offer: new yearly subscribers get a whole month free instead of 7 days.
Meet the sun
- It reacts when you tap it, eight different ways, and basks when you hold it.
- It peeks out from behind the clouds when they cover it.
- It talks like a friend. It teases itself and your apps, never you.
- At night the moon takes over, and breathes softly when you hold it.
Small things to come back to
- A streak with a little flame, for the days that count.
- Your week at a glance, with the days you stayed within your limit.
- A sunrise as the app opens, and the sun saying hello on the first open of the day.
Cute, and it still works
Under the soft colours, SunPause uses Apple's Screen Time framework. When the daily limit is used up, iOS shows SunPause's shield over the apps you chose until 6:00 am, and a short pause with the sun (three breaths, a sum or a tiny game) opens them for 5, 10 or 30 minutes.
Price
Free to download, with a subscription: yearly or monthly. In the United States that is $39.99 a year or $7.99 a month; prices are lower in many countries. During the launch, new yearly subscribers get a free month instead of the usual 7-day trial. Cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings.
